So after spending a night in Miami, a night in San Pedro, two nights in Gracias, two nights in La Union, two nights back in Gracias, and now (tonight) a night in Tegucigalpa, I am about ready to throw my luggage out the window because I'm so sick of living out of my suitcases. Let's be real though, I can't complain -- I've gotten free meals and free travel to some pretty sweet places!
I really have nothing new to report, except that me and Ada (the girl who is teaching in Choluteca) got picked up in Gracias (by someone who works for Abundant Life) to go to Tegucigalpa. I thought the plan was to be in Catacamas tonight, but I'm not sure what I was thinking because there are no plans in Honduras. It was a long drive -- 6 hours -- and then he dropped us off at a hotel (well, bed and breakfast type of deal) in Tegucigalpa. So I quick went to the bathroom in our room, and by the time I came out my luggage was in my room and our driver had left! So Ada and I have just kind of been sitting here...it really is kind of hilarious because I have no idea what's going on. We finally just decided to venture out for dinner. Anyway, I guess I'm going to Catacamas tomorrow...I think. Who knows what time. Gotta love it. It's just funny because last time I was here was for my semester abroad, where everything was planned out and everyone was constantly trying to make sure you were safe. Not anymore!
Well, here are some pics finally!
This is the road we took to get to La Union -- got to ride in the back of the pickup all the way there.
The view from the teachers' house in La Union -- I'm super jealous.
The Abundant Life school in La Union -- you can't see it very well, but that's the best I can do.
