Justin and I have decided to start a joint blog (I'll probably be the only one updating for a little bit because Justin doesn't get here for another week or so) to keep you updated on our adventures in Honduras this year! We are both about to begin teaching through an organization called Abundant Life Christian Schools (Vida Abundante). Vida Abundante (www.alcshn.com) has six schools throughout Honduras: two in Tegucigalpa (one is bilingual, one is not), one in Choluteca, one in La Union, one in Gracias, and one in Catacamas. Here's a map to get you oriented (I put San Pedro Sula on there too because that's where I flew into and where I am now -- there's not a school there though).
This year there are several teachers at the schools in La Union and Gracias, one (Justin) in Tegus, one in Choluteca, and one (me) in Catacamas. I don't know a lot about the schools, and even less about my school, because I'm the first American teacher to go there. That's just a very brief intro -- anyone who has asked me about my trip already knows that that's about all I know about my job so far!
