San Pedro Sula

Made it! Por fin...after 45 minutes waiting to get through security in G-Rap, missing my connecting flight in Houston to San Pedro Sula, a re-route to Miami, a four hour layover in Miami followed by a four hour delay, a medical emergency on the plane, flight cancellation at 12:30am, hotel in Miami, flight to San Pedro Sula the next day at noon. So was supposed to get here at 12:30pm on Tuesday; ended up getting here 24 hours later (there's a two hour time difference here). But get this -- my luggage was literally already off the carousel waiting for me when I got there. So much for my luggage not taking care of itself.

It was actually kind of fun (if you're going to Honduras you have to go in expecting something like this), and it feels good to be back! And especially to be speaking Spanish again!!! Met some crazy/interesting/really nice (or a combination of those) people in the airport/on flights too...

Anyway, I'm at a hotel right now and the plan is for a guy named Mr. Rodrigo to come and pick us up (I'm staying with another American teacher right now) in an hour or so to take us to Gracias for training. I was supposed to be at training two days ago though; I guess I missed most of it but I'll make it for the last day tomorrow. Then next week (or maybe this weekend?) at some point I'll make it to Catacamas -- maybe 10 hours or more away from San  Pedro from what I've heard -- where I'll be living for the next nine months!
